Module 9 Summary

In module 9, I learned about how ecommerce works. When the first glimpses of the modern internet were first open to the public, people were more scared of giving websites payment information because the internet was less secure. As internet security started to improve and sites such as Amazon and others started to bring consumers a valuable service, ecommerce increased. I remember when my family were first starting to use sites like Amazon, eBay, and Craigslist. 

My dad made me my own Amazon account when I was 14-15 so I could send him things to order, and he could accept or decline them. This allowed me to spend my money without going to the store. It allowed me to have a degree of freedom. I have been using these websites my whole life, so I can't think of a time when they were not safe.
