Module 3 Summary

In module 3, I learned how search engines work on a deeper level. Search engines are used on a daily basis for me and most of the world. These tools are used by people all around the world to find information on billions of websites. The last thing I used a search engine for is finding a fix for my home server so I can run virtual machines more power efficient. I can also use them for helping solve math problems.

Google also uses its search engine to search photos and videos on the web. These can be helpful for sourcing images for presentation. In high school, I had to create a presentation on how a food drive I volunteered at helped my community. I was able to find images that had creative commons licenses attached to them. This can be helpful for staying in the bounds of copyright.
